Server OS Deployment The term "Server OS Deployment" denotes the installation of target server computers in an automated fashion, while addressing the special whereabouts of servers: hardware architecture, firmware handling, special management and mass-storage drivers, headless operation (i.e. no keyboard and display), etc. If the target server is also equipped with a network boot code (such as the TCP/IP BOOT-PROM or PXE PROM code), this process can be completely automated, including remote wakeup and shutdown. The bootix BootManage Administrator is the bootix server OS deployment solution. |
